Usrah 7th Oct 2012

Assalamualaikum wbt...
how r u all today?
feeling good, great, awesome?
i'm kinda having a bit of fever right now.
sakit penghapus dosa2 kecil..insyaAllah

as requested by a reader (adik izzah) who wants me to update more bout usrah, i will sister..for u and others =)
Last Sunday, we had our usrah as per normal except that we changed the day from Saturday to Sunday..
it was held at UWA musollah (this is because they have a nice musollah and at Curtin, we only have a cabin made musollah) but Alhamdulillah, we can still pray there..and just about anywhere that is clean..right??

so, kak dayah, abg ammar and baby abbas fetched me from VH at about 10.00am..
and we arrived a bit late, but it was alright..i'm still thankful that i get to attend the usrah..without kak dayah and abg ammar's help to fetch me, i won't be able to come..thanx a million kak dayah and abg ammar..

when we arrived, they have already finished the tadabbur session..it is where we understand the meaning of each sentence in the al-quran in depth..and we discussed surah Al-Baqarah 30-37

Kak Asiah asked us a question "Adakah Nabi Adam di turunkan ke bumi hanya kerana makan buah khuldi tu?" "Is Adam sent to earth by Allah just because of eating the restricted fruit?"
 the answer is No, Tidak, La, Nehi
y not u said? i can see all those question marks blinking on the top of your head =)
the reason y Adam was sent to earth was actually because he disobeyed Allah's order. that's why.
got it? if u still didn't get it, just drop a comment alright and i'll try my best to answer it and help u understand.

next, we had our tazkirah by Kak Asiah and also Tauhid by Kak Hidayah. I did some notes on my phone and i'll share the summary with u..

i'm back!!!

this entry is going to be bout yesterday cooking activity..
to those who followed my fb, twitter or instagram, u guys should know what i did last night..
for those who don't, its alright, im gonna tell u now

last night, liao lei (my housemate from China) and I decided to make some doughnuts!!!!yummeh
i've been craving to eat doughnuts dipped with choc ganache (not really but just melted choc) for weeks..and yesterday i managed to influence liao lei to join me cooking some doughnuts..
harharhar...i took the resipi from myresipi.net
this is the recipe for those who wanna try..its my 2nd time making this and it is soooo easy..i had to do it czoz i really miss doughnuts but its really hard to find a halal doughnut here so i had to make some instead..which is good coz it helps me sharpen my cooking + baking skills..(untung suami aku nanti) hahahah

Donut

seperti yang dijanjikan ni RESEPI nya..
* untuk adunan doh
4 cawan tepung gandum,
1 pek yis (jenama MAURIPAN, korang pakai jenama lain gerenti tak tembam)
2 sudu susu krimer pekat manis
1 senduk marjerin ( campur 2 sudu butter, petua untuk doughnut lebih gebu dan lembut)
1 biji telur
4 sudu besar gula pasir
2 cawan air suam (untuk larutkan gula & yis)

*cara adun
1. sebelum membuat doh, larutkan gula dan yis dalam air suam (biarkan yis naik, sementara yis naik bolehla adun bahan2 dalam langkah 2)
2. masukkan semua dalam 1 bekas(tepung gandum, telur, majerin & susu)
gaul hingga sebati
3. masukkan bancuhan yis sedikit demi sedikit hingga menjadi doh
4. uli doh hingga lembut
5. taburkan tepung gandum di atas dulang (utk elakkan donut dari melekat)
6. bentukkan donut ikut saiz yang anda mahu
7. apabila donut yang anda bentuk tadi dah naik, bolehla digoreng (guna api yang sederhana)
8. goreng hingga warnanya keemasan
9. biarkan hingga sejuk dulu donut yang dah digoreng, kemudian bolehla disalut dengan gula
icing ( nak save blender je gula pasir)

mind you that i had to cut down the ingredients into half coz i tried making the doughnuts using this amount and it is a lot! its like feeding a 10 - 15 peoples..so if u plan to make some to try, i recommend to make half of the amount given ok?

so this is how it looks before i fry it..ignore the various sizes coz we dont have the doughnut cutter so everything is handmade..hahaha

sorry i forgot to snap the cooked/fried doughnut..

for the choc dip, i create my own recipe..

double boil cooking choc + milk..no measurements, just up to your likings..hahaha

so that is basically how my doughnut looks like..it may not look presentable..but it tasted awesomely nice!! u guys should try and impress your parents or your friends or your bf/gf or husband/wife...yummy2...

p/s: all of them are finish by today..coz it is so irrisistable..happy cooking =)

Perth royal Show

Assalamualaikum peeps..its been a while..been bz with my CIB presentation and been wanting to blurt out everything to all of u..
i have heaps to tell..but so little time..
first, lets start with the Perth Royal Show..

Last Sunday dated 30th October 2012, I went to the Perth Royal Show at Showground together with my other friends (friends of Nadhirah at first) kak yati, suri, ina, hanna, cat, nadhirah and me...it is an annual event in Perth..it is like a fun fair with all the fun rides and games with prizes..i didn't go for the ride thou..it was so EXPENSIVE!!! minimum per ride is $8 and the entrance fee is already $26...

we arrived there at about 3 plus and it was blazing HOT!!!! the heat is like WHOA! luckily i was covered from top to bottom except the face part.but it's alright..the Hell fire is Hotter..anyways, so we paid the entrance fee and we start browsing and looking around..
the first place we went was at the farm.lotsa animals there and surprisingly, the also had 3 pigs on display!!!! at the very moment i saw the 3 pigs i was like "oh no!" *trusmual2and rasanakmuntah..ewwww...
i quickly pass their area and walked away..dugaan betol..

later, both cat and I went to play some games..u know the game where u have to throw rings at the bottle.and when u got the ring at the bottle, u'll win a prizes..unfortunately, we didn't win any..but its alright.its worth a try..next game is the balloon dart..we had a few throws and we won a stuff lizard..hahahaha..

then we walked and walked and walked again for hours until about 7pm we started feeling hungry and i start to have a headache. so we looked for food to eat..luckily there was this halal cafe (bintang cafe) there and so i got myself a nasi goreng..we had our dinner on the grass.picnic style and stayed there to rest while waiting for the spectacular fireworks!!!!
at 8.00 pm exact, they started the fireworks..it went on for about 15 mins! and it cost millions of $..

before leaving the place, i bought 3 showbags...it is definitely worth buying. now, i feel like buying more..hahahaa...

after leaving the place, we didnt straight away went home..we stopped for a drink..we went to Fast Eddys..we sit and chat and drink..i ordered a 'susu goncang' =)
